We have both fixed term and permanent roles available that range from Environmental and Intermediate Environmental Planners.
The roles are varied with different exciting responsibilities.
Environmental and Intermediate Planners undertake Building Consent reviews, process Resource Consents and engage with a wide range of customers through our Duty Planner function.
These roles provide the exposure a Planner needs to develop and become a well-rounded professional through the unique work you get exposure to working at Tauranga City Council.
The planning challenges associated with a growing city are complex, exciting and varied allowing for our Planners to develop and refine their expertise as planning professionals.
Working within the Environmental Planning Team, you'll be part of a large group within a rewarding environment. We are invested in developing our team members and have a strong focus on maintaining a positive culture.
Our team has a mix of experienced and graduate level Planners who strive for great planning outcomes for the community, both for current and future generations.
We offer excellent opportunities for personal and professional development through formal progression plans. These provide an opportunity for Planners to move from Graduate to Senior roles over time as core technical and behavioral competencies are met.
