The primary purpose of
the Chef de Partie is to support the Head Chef and / or Sous Chef and be part of the team. You are a leader, trainer and mentor to Junior Chefs and Kitchen Hands.
A Chef de Partie is a developmental role with the aim to expand on already strong cookery skills, as well as management skills, so as to one day run the kitchen
Key Requirements for the role :
Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial kitchen
Team leadership skills, striving for excellence in everything that you do
Work in line with the venue and Kāpura’s expectations
Bring a positive attitude and create and control an upbeat culture within the team
Excellent communication and listening skills for your team and customers
Ensure all operational processes and procedures are adhered to
Ensure FOH and BOH cohesion at all times
Identify potential service issues and act accordingly to avoid them
Handle complaints with empathy and ensure a more than satisfactory outcome for our customers
A passion and creative flare for Asian Fusion!
Experience cooking with a wok is required
