About the Role

Strong growth in the Security Operations space sees us looking for a Senior Security Engineer to add to our dynamic and diverse Security Team.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be across fault investigation / resolution, Network Security deployments and changes, incident response and dabble in some consultancy in both on-prem, DataCentre, Hybrid and Cloud environments.

Senior Security Engineers also focus on thought leadership, work with Security Architects and assist in both design and presales engagements with solutions consultants.

Lastly, as a Senior Security Engineer you will take on the role of a technical mentor to our Security Engineers as they are next up and comers in the Security space.

All the members of the wider team are responsible for ensuring that we meet agreed SLA's with clients while identifying continual service improvement opportunities.

Working in a team environment you will also be involved with monitoring and maintaining the network and security management systems and tools.

The successful candidate will have at least five years' experience in the industry with specific skills in any of the following technologies / qualifications preferred :

  • Fortinet NSE 4, 5, 6 or 7 (FCNSA / FCNSP) or equivalent
  • F5 Certified Administrator and Certified Technical Professional
  • Palo Alto - PCNSA / PCNSE
  • CCNA / CCNP or equivalent course / qualification
  • Fortinet NSE 4, 5, 6 or 7 (FCNSA / FCNSP) or equivalent
  • Microsoft AZ-900 / AZ-304
  • CISSP / CEH
  • Configuration, Managing and troubleshooting in the below areas

  • F5 BIG-IP LTM, DNS, ASM, APM
  • Firewall, WAF, IPS, IDS, Logging and auditing
  • Routing Technologies - Static, OSPF, BGP and MPLS
  • Switching Technologies - VLAN's, Spanning tree, Stacking, Port Channels, HSRP
  • Remote access, VPNs, IPSEC VPNs, SSL VPNs, DDOS
  • IPV4, Subnetting, Management Systems, SNMP, Packet Shaping
  • Azure, AWS tenancy management
  • Knowledge or experience across the following is also desirable :

  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
  • Email Security
  • Security Awareness
  • Current certifications in some of above is expected and a willingness to specialize in a security discipline would be advantageous.

    A current full New Zealand drivers license is required.

    Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a client facing role and display outstanding personal skills with an aptitude to get it right first time.
