About the Role

Our QA practice at Datacom is rapidly growing and we are looking for creative people at all levels to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse and dynamic solution provider with a huge range of clients and high-level in-house expertise.

Your talent is critical to help us enhance the depth and breadth of our test team. You may be a member of a larger testing team, you may be leading the team, or you may be working alone depending on the engagement.

You may have junior team members to mentor and guide as work is planned and delivered. We place our trust in you to implement good software testing practices across a wide range of technologies, products and industries.

In order to provide the flexibility, ingenuity and knowledge we need, you will also bring a history of applying great testing practices and you truly understand how to implement a good QA strategy.

Great! What skills do I need?

To earn a place on our team you must be able to analyse, plan, implement, execute and report the outcome of your testing.

You must be creative in your approaches and be able to work in environments with changing priorities, schedules and deliverable requirements.

You must be flexible to work across different software development lifecycles, understanding how you can provide the best value to the project.

You must work effectively in a mixed team environment that may be composed of other vendors, customers, business analysts and others.

We will ask you to show us your :

  • Proven ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
  • Ability to organise, plan and deliver your assignments in a professional manner with minimal supervision
  • Background in software testing
  • Proven ability to deliver quality results in a busy and dynamic business-focused environment
  • Knowledge of variety of software testing practices and current methodologies and tools
  • Ability to contribute to developing the software testing skills and knowledge within the wider team
  • Dedication to improvement via training, certifications, or self-study
  • What you'll bring

    You are someone who is self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. You are technically skilled and genuinely interested in technology as a creative pursuit and not just a job.

    You can demonstrate the ability to learn, pivot and be open to new ideas. A client-focused attitude is a must, along with demonstrated ability to lead and work within a team.
