What you will be working on :

Air New Zealand has a rich heritage of digital innovation, and you'll be helping shape our digital products into the future.

We are searching for a Product Designer to create useful, functional, and impactful digital experiences across app and web.

You'll tackle interaction design challenges, and work on new ideas that will transform how people experience our product

Reporting to the Digital Design Chapter Lead, you'll obsess over interface design and understanding user's needs. You'll creatively solve user problems and craft digital experiences for a global audience.

Key roles and responsibilities :

  • Iteratively design functional and beautiful digital products. From sketches, wireframes and prototypes, to high-fidelity interface design.
  • Partner with our team of design specialists, integrating digital product into end to end customer experiences.
  • Create through collaboration, UX design best-practice, and storytelling.
  • Enable the Air New Zealand brand, bringing our design language to life, engaging a variety of audiences in meaningful and fun ways.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to ensure your designs are shipped with high-quality.
  • Contribute to our design system - Unison - helping our design & development teams work together at Air New Zealand.
  • Key skills and experience required :

  • Core UX design skills in interaction and visual design.
  • Ability to craft products that are aesthetically pleasing as well as functional and intuitive.
  • Proficiency with design tools. We use Figma and Miro.
  • An understanding of accessibility and usability best-practices.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate your design work clearly.
  • Presentation skills that can help influence outcomes.
