What will you be doing?

As Systems Engineer , your role is pivotal in ensuring our internal IT systems provide highly available and efficient services to the R&D and other internal teams within Orion Health.

As a Systems Engineer , you will be responsible for :

  • Supporting the variety of platforms in Orion Health, including on premise Linux and Windows servers, cloud-based IAAS and cloud-based SAAS.
  • Collaborating with the IT engineering team to deploy corporate information systems quickly and effectively, ensuring processes flow smoothly and the occurrence of outages are minimal.
  • Improving IT infrastructure reliability, decreasing outages and automating systems wherever possible.
  • Dealing with internal customers, external suppliers, as well as work in a collaborative manner with other Orion health teams.
  • What will you bring to the role?

  • Experience : You have 5+ year’s experience working in an in-depth, multi-platform environment under your belt.
  • Skills : You are a natural when it comes to database management (PostgreSQL, Oracle and MS SQL Server), and network management, including a strong understanding of VPN technology.
  • Linux troubleshooting is second nature to you, and you have experience in Cloud and virtualisation using AWS and / or Azure.

    You will likely have knowledge of automating and configuring servers and services using Ansible.

  • Characteristics : Being proactive and delivery-focused, you will make high quality decisions and act with pace and persistence, turning strategy into results.
  • You’ll be well-versed in establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and able to adapt your communication style dependent on your audience.
