MIDCENTRAL DISTRICT HEALTH BOARD (Scope of practice Registered Nurse) We are seeking a highly motivated registered nurse to join the MidCentral Health Respiratory Service as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
We are a collegial and supportive team who have a quality focus. The role has a high degree of autonomous practice and requires high level of problem solving skills.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Respiratory will function within the specialty of Respiratory / Sleep providing clinical expertise and nursing leadership in acute and specialist services across primary and secondary care practice settings.
This position has a key focus on providing expert respiratory / sleep care to people with respiratory conditions to promote optimal management of their conditions.
It requires a high level of clinical consultation and communication skills. The Service covers the MDHB region and requires community visits, so travel is a component of the role.
If you do not meet all the clinical points on the essential skills list within the job description you will be expected to work towards these within an agreed timeframe.
You will be a registered nurse who :
has completed postgraduate papers or working towards. Demonstrate a commitment to initially working towards proficient level on the National Respiratory Adult Knowledge and Skills Framework (2016).
Experience in respiratory care is preferred, and you will have a commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, self-development and professionalism.
