Reporting to the Programme Business Manager - Rolling Stock Procurement and preferably based in Wellington (an Auckland base will be considered for the right candidate), your role is to provide expertise in project engineering responsible for technical delivery within the project team for the Rolling Stock Projects as delegated.
You will have strong technical skills and will take the lead in scope development and requirements documentation for RFx's and support the tender review process in particularly technical clarifications and technical document updates.
Coordinating the design, procurement, manufacturing and commissioning process, you will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and achieve successful outcomes.
Responsible for engineering and reviews and design documentation you will be required to provide input into design reviews to ensure client contractual needs and requirements are met within budget and key milestones.
Additionally, you will manage supply chains and overall quality assurance.
As a Project Engineer with a background in rolling stock / rail mechanical project management, candidates with previous rail experience will be highly regarded and given priority, however we welcome applications from associated infrastructure disciplines.
