We have an exciting full time opportunity for an experienced RN who has a thorough understanding of Ophthalmology to join our team.
In this senior position you will provide clinical review and management of Ophthalmology patients, together with the multidisciplinary team, to ensure appropriate, safe and timely care is received by the patient.
In addition to this you will also provide support, clinical guidance and advice to other healthcare professionals e.g. nursing, technical and medical colleagues, relating to the complex needs of patients, and their families / whaanau with Ophthalmic conditions.
You will actively contribute to the service delivery and development of the Ophthalmology service by ensuring patients receive seamless care.
You will required to manage your own regular stable Glaucoma and stable Diabetic patient load as well as developing and introducing nurse led Intravitreal Injection clinics based on evidence based practice standards.
The person appointed to this role will need to demonstrate the ability to contribute their advanced leadership skills and work as a key member of the multidisciplinary team to improve and develop the service.
The patient will be at the centre of your drive for excellence and innovation. To do this, your interpersonal skills will match your strong clinical leadership and meet the highest professional nursing standards.
