Due to the significant growth of our businesses, we are looking for a self-motivated lawyer with strong commercial contract skills and at least 3-7 years' post qualification experience to join our dynamic risk management team.

As a member of our group legal team, you will be based in Auckland and primarily responsible for providing legal advice and support to our businesses.

You will manage a complex and challenging range of tasks including negotiating and reviewing a wide range of agreements, providing legal support to our project teams, managing claims and dispute resolution, and supporting the management and continuous improvement of our compliance, quality and risk systems.

  • You will have gained experience in commercial contract law either in a relevant in-house environment or a reputable law firm.
  • Experience working in-house in the consulting engineering and / or construction sectors will be an advantage.

  • You will be pragmatic, commercially astute, a great communicator and possess the proven ability to develop strong and productive relationships within the business setting.
  • You will be pro-active, keen to learn and develop, and happy to work autonomously with support.
  • You must have relevant tertiary legal qualifications and a current New Zealand practising certificate (or ability to obtain one).
