Summary

The position is based in the Wellington Ticket Office. Reporting to the Collections Team Leader, the part time role of the Group Travel Coordinator is primarily to coordinate the group travel booking requests for groups of 10 persons or more wanting to travel on the Wellington Rail Network.

Other important aspects of this role include the administration and maintenance of the bulk ticket store and some reconciliation of ticket sales information.

There is the possibility of training in other areas of our business to assist during busy periods.

The role is based locally in Wellington Railway Station and part time at 25 hours per week working Monday to Friday.

The role

  • Discuss groups booking requirements and advise on service options.
  • Liaise their Operations regarding capacity for large group bookings.
  • Issue group tickets, post them out and issuing of appropriate invoices.
  • Maintain the bulk ticket store, filling ticket orders as they arrive.
  • Reconciliation of ticket returns.
  • What you bring

  • Demonstrated experience working in a customer service role, preferably experience working with sales bookings.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including excellent phone manner.
  • Can do attitude to deal with both internal and external customer requests.
  • Demonstrated experience working with receipting of tickets or money and reconciliation of products.
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Strong prioritization skills as the role will demand on your time, given the role is part time.
