    Excellent opportunity to ensure a smooth running of the administration activities that support our Building Consent and Compliance teams.

    The team are part of the wider City Consenting and Compliance (CCC) team who are helping our customers shape Wellington's skyline and is the main statutory and regulatory unit of the Council.

    We need to make sure we continue to improve our customer service while ensuring our officers have the right knowledge and tools by improving processes, training staff and providing business support services.

    The role sits with our Business Services team that delivers a centralised business support service across CCC.

    As the Manager of the BCC administration team, you will ensure that the team delivers administration support for building consents and compliance activities by ensuring a smooth workflow and resource management.

    We would love to continue to see a customer centric team focused on increasing and implementing efficiencies across the function and making it easy for our customers.

    Continuous improvement is always on top of mind for you; learning new systems and processes excites you and you have knack to deal with customers when issues arise.

    We would like someone with excellent relationship and negotiation skills who is confident dealing with people at all levels and has an eye for detail.

    You will be a credible people leader who can inspire, lead and build a high performing team to deliver sustainable results.

    Experience and / or knowledge in a regulatory or compliance environment will be a great advantage and so will be any experience with financial systems.

    Our ideal person will have strong written and verbal communication skills, a high degree of professionalism, resilience, and a strong customer-centric approach.

    You will enjoy working in a fast-paced and changing environment, be flexible enough to juggle priorities, and have a positive, can-do attitude.
