We call it the Westpac Way of Working.How will you help?A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, driven self-starter within our Analytics Chapter.
As an Analytics and Insights Specialist your key focus is to support customer experience by delivering critical insight through analytics to the business.
You will collaborate with the product based squads to understand metrics that need to be reported on, working closely with Analysts in other areas of the business to ensure consistency of reporting across the various business units.
You’ll identify issues and opportunities relating to performance of the product portfolios, policies, strategies and reporting.
Analytical outputs will highlight trends and other variations so that appropriate action can be taken by the product areas.
Your strong communication and influencing skills will be essential to communicate extracted information to a number of business partners in a language that they can understand and influence decisions based on your findings.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need : Knowledge of the financial services industry including working knowledge of key banking metrics and measurements (preferable).
Experience working with complex reporting and analytics systems.Strong experience with SQL / SAS.Experience with Power BI or other visualisation software.
Working knowledge of Python / R and experience using a Spark based fast data platform would be advantageous.Working knowledge of Oracle PL / SQL would be advantageous.
Technical programming skills and coding ability to manipulate data, create reporting and solve business problems.Experience in providing quality reporting to aid and enhance decision making in a large and complex organisation.
Ability to manage and build relationships with internal stakeholders.Solid verbal and written presentation skills.If you are someone who is a strong team player, has a strong customer focus and the ability to translate business stakeholder needs and corporate requirements into meaningful metrics, data analysis and insights, then this could be the role for you.
