With a large growth in projects on the horizon it couldn't be a better time to join our team. We have an opportunity for a Project Controls Lead to join the team to support a number of exciting projects within the region and participate in securing future work.

Our team is currently working on numerous projects in the water, transport, aviation, architecture, structural, geotechnical and building services space.

We have a solid client base in New Zealand and we are well connected to many other locations through our established relationships, expertise in project funding, technical capabilities, and broad company reach.

We are actively growing our team and developing technical capabilities by expanding our services and creating great leadership and career building opportunities for our employees.

You will be joining a team of passionate individuals, many of them leaders in their field, who are also the owners of our business.

This ownership is what sets us apart.

This role is located in either in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch but other locations, where GHD has an office, could be considered.

Working within our experienced group, this position offers a great variety of projects and will see you involved in

  • Take your project controls career to the next level by managing the project support team within the project management office
  • Establish and grow cost control, project planning and document control capabilities within the team
  • Support projects across the group and across New Zealand
  • Liaising with and management of relevant stakeholders to support successful project delivery
  • Establishing new systems and methodologies
  • Working closely with project teams, clients and contractor groups
  • What you will bring to the team

  • 7 years+ experience as a project controller in the engineering design space
  • Can do attitude towards your work
  • Understanding of project governance structures and risk management
  • Experience of both providing project controls recommendations for project delivery
