What we’re looking for

Due to Fulton Hogan’s ongoing growth within the Region, we are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Maintenance Contracts team and deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for.

What you’ll be doing

We currently have an opportunity for a to join our Gisborne Maintenance crew. The position will require you to report to and assist the department manager and Foremen on our current project and contracts across the region.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Price small to medium sized works ($5k-$500k).
  • Run multiple small jobs (between 1 & 3 jobs at any one time).
  • Implement conditions of contract NZS3910.
  • Enforce best practices, H&S legislation and environmental controls.
  • Review DJRs and approve or amend.
  • Be able to effectively allocate job resources to ensure optimal efficiencies.
  • Put together programmes to give to clients.
  • Cost track jobs to see if we are meeting budget.
  • Maintain customer relationships.
  • Team player / work together with others to get the best result for Fulton Hogan overall.
  • Set up subcontractor & supplier agreements.
  • What you’ll bring to the table

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 2 years' experience working in the industry.
  • Class 1 Drivers License.
  • Good level of physical fitness.
  • Excellent use of the English language both verbal and written.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Be self-motivated & driven to succeed.
