We are wanting a EHS Co-ordinator to join our team!
As our EHS Co-ordinator your primary objective is to assist the NZ EHS Lead to ensure and maintain compliance with legislation and business policies and procedures;
with the objective of minimising accidents, injuries and environmental damage through promoting compliance with statutory, business and customer environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements.
Specific Accountabilities :
Focus on building strong working relationships in order to assist Managers to consistently implement the Company’s EHS Policy and Management System, including visiting Branches and Sites throughout the region.
Identify risk and non-compliance issues that may have a significant impact on the business and ensure that activities regularly focus on these risks.
Assist Managers / Supervisors in the completion and implementation of Risk Assessments, Job Safety and Environmental Analyses (JSEA’s), and other related tools.
Involvement in the development and implementation of Regional and / or National EHS Projects, Process and Procedures to promote employee and contractor involvement in relation to workplace EHS.
Generate and communicate relevant EHS Documentation, including Toolbox Talks / topics and Safety / Environmental Alerts.
Assist with the delivery of EHS Training Programs.
Assist with the implementation of the Tyco Fire and Security Audit Program for the purpose of reviewing EHS performance and work practices against statutory and Company requirements.
Assist Managers / Supervisors to implement procedures for accident / incident reporting, and the analysis of accident / incident trends including recommending strategies to Managers that may assist in reducing accident / incident occurrence.
Assist in the investigation and management of incidents or near misses involving employees, contractors or members of the public on Tyco premises or involving Tyco products and / or services, for the purpose of identifying the root causes for the incident and the corrective actions required to prevent a recurrence.
Who are we looking for :
A knowledge of environmental, health and safety aspects, including cultural change, as applied across relevant industries, supported by practical experience in the field.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to relate across all levels in the organisation.
Experience with Audit, delivering Training Programs and implementation of Injury Management Programs would be ideal.
Computer literate including use of MS Word, Power Point, and Excel.
