About the Role

As a Technical consultant you will be responsible for maintaining physical hardware, physical operating system platforms, and to provide support services to maintain the availability and reliability of the organisation’s infrastructure.

You will also be providing second level Desktop support to Service Desk staff as well as technicians associated with operating installed hardware and software.

This role includes providing technical maintenance and support services within agreed service levels and maintaining technical documentation

What you’ll do

  • Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate log entries of fault with resolution and contact details.
  • Ensure all hardware / software installations and routine upgrades are implemented according to Service Level Agreements.
  • Initiate and drive service and process improvement.
  • Provide telephone technical support to users regarding Desktop issues.
  • Take part in a rostered-on call rota with the team to support the client’s system out of hours.
  • What you'll bring

    You'll be a global all-rounder on Microsoft with sound technical knowledge of Desktop hardware and both standard and customised (in-house) software.
