About the Opportunity

RPS is seeking a highly motivated Regional Manager to spearhead complex projects and lead our growing and dynamic NZ Project Management team.

The role is a key leadership role as part of our growing global business.

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Auckland and New Zealand business plan in line with the RPS group wide and location specific objectives and targets.

This includes working with the Regional Managers from Wellington and other locations to develop business, financial management, client service delivery ensuring they achieve timely, high quality client outcomes which are profitable for the business.

To be successful you will need

  • Tertiary qualifications in the building and / or construction industry or related field.
  • Experience across the project lifecycle from business case to delivery in major complex projects including transport infrastructure.
  • Strong background in management of professional services organisations.
  • AIPM Certified Practising Project Director certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in previously held senior management positions, with strong involvement and demonstrated capacity in marketing, business development and financial management.
  • Exposure to contemporary technology and systems.
  • Well-developed presentation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage business relationships including negotiation and successful resolution of contentious issues.
  • Ability to plan and co-ordinate program and projects to deliver outcomes, which meet the required standards, on time and to a budget while satisfying the needs of the client / s and RPS Project Management.
  • Ability to lead and control resources, including employees, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure outstanding performance is achieved in respect of performance indicators including Program, Budget, Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), quality and business strategy.
