    Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role We have an exciting opportunity in the Communications Teams based in Auckland, reporting to the Communications Manager.

    You will play a critical role in bringing Kāinga Ora's strategic priorities to life. You'll build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, leading strategic communications and media advice and solutions on best-practice guidelines.

    You will also have the chance to account manage and contribute to nationwide work programmes and projects in the public housing and urban development field.

  • Extensive communications experience ideally gained in a complex organisation in the government or public sectors
  • Ability to partner with our place-based leaders and engagement teams to provide strategic advice and planning on risks and opportunities.
  • Track record of working both proactively and reactively, particularly with the media
  • Strength in relationship building and management, and a naturally collaborative style
  • Aptitude for writing clearly, with the ability to distil strategic and technical concepts into simple, clear language Nōu te rourou - What's in it for you?
