Bored with your everyday routine. We have an opportunity for you to take up new challenges within our Infrastructure and Asset Management department.

This Project Manager position is tasked with looking after Water, Wastewater and Stormwater capital and renewal projects.

In this role you will be part of our Infrastructure Projects team, made up of like-minded Three Waters and District Facilities Project Managers.

You’ll have responsibility for delivering projects including optioneering, tendering, procurement, managing consultants, contractors and financial budgets.

You will be the interface between the project being commissioned, to operational and asset delivery.

I ā koe About You

To be successful in this role you will have a professional engineering and project management qualification or at least 5 years’ experience working in a water’s infrastructure and project management and an understanding of Local Government.

Working to tight timeframes and budgets will be second nature to you, as will being able to communicate simply and clearly to everyone from community boards to members of the public.

This role can be quite hands on from inspecting facilities to ascertaining the programme of works and a current clean Driver’s License is essential.

Ideally, you’ll have a background in Prince2 and the better business case’ approach and this will be supported with our Project Management Framework.

The salary for this position is Grade 16 within Council's salary structure ($76,130 $89,564) plus Kiwi Saver, dependent on qualifications and experience.
