Assistant Accountant / Senior Administrator

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant or Senior Administrator to join our Finance team. The role is Auckland based but with reporting lines to Wellington.
You will enjoy working with a team where you can really get involved. You will be providing accounts receivable functions, mainly invoicing for several of our numerous facilities and villages, as well as accounts payable work, and other ad hoc duties such as providing support to assigned facilities, daily multi-account cashbook transactions and maintaining and reconciling some general ledger accounts.
You will be organized and accurate, be a great communicator, and have the ability to 'look outside the box'.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be competent with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and File Explorer. Experience with Sage Evolution will be advantageous, as would experience in the Aged Care Industry, including being familiar with DHB / MOH / WINZ payments.
You need to have a high level of verbal, written and numeracy skills and have a working style which is methodical and systematic.
You must be compassionate when dealing with families of our residents, and able to converse and solve problems effectively.
