In New Zealand, Workwear Group operates in an end to end environment from design to manufacturing to logisticsAbout the Role : We have a rare opportunity for an Apparel Designer / Garment Technician to manage our Workwear Group deign and product requirements.

This role has a large emphasis on collaboration with internal stakeholders across AUS and NZ.Responsibilities : Work closely with the sales team to understand customer specific product requirementsDeveloping product that aligns with category sourcing strategySource and include buy-ins to fill gaps where it may be impractical to develop and stockWork with the WWG AU team to leverage off their catalogue and uniform designs where applicableWork with key stakeholder in the development of NZ specific productManaging the front to end product development cycleWork closely with sourcing on manufacturing locations where products are to be developedEngage and develop products with the relevant vendors based on sourcing locationsCommunicate considered product development timelines and ensure adherence to theseWork with the Technical Manager to ensure that all NPD meets WWG quality and regulatory requirements.

Work with the Marketing Manager and Technical Manger to ensure all labelling and packaging meets regulatory requirements and brand guidelines.

Follow WWG product development specification standard and formatsMaintain and ensure the latest up to date specificationAbout You : You will possess a successful background in Design / product development coupled with superior interpersonal skills.

Additionally, you will present and articulate the vision of the design concepts to senior management from varying departments and take them on a journey.

Strong knowledge in garment construction, textiles and manufacturing coupled with a creative flair and the ability to think outside of the box will see you excel in this opportunity.

  • A Degree or tertiary qualification in a design related field such as Textiles, Fashion or Patternmaking is essential.You will be rewarded with a range of employee benefits including;
