  • Our client is seeking a Project Accountant with experience in the infrastructure or construction industry to work within the Project Management Office.

    This role is responsible for the accounting of multiple projects ranging from $500k to $20m. The successful applicant will be 3 years + post qualification and be well experienced with reporting on projects final outturn costs, cost to complete and client and sub-contractor claims.

    The Role

  • As a key member of the Capital Projects & Asset Development finance team, you will work proactively across multiple projects and with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and sound financial management of our infrastructure projects.
  • Working hand-in-hand with the Project Manager / s, you will gain an in-depth knowledge of the projects’ activities, ensuring financial forecasts, budgets, and costs are accurately reported and understood.
  • Your ability to go beyond the numbers and provide sound explanation of any variances will ensure financial outcomes are clearly understood and risks or opportunities are highlighted.
  • Key Skills and Requirements

  • You will hold a CA or equivalent qualification with a minimum 3 years post-graduate experience from the infrastructure or construction industries.
  • You will have proficiency in Excel and SAP (or similar ERP tool) and proven ability in visualising the full picture of a project.
  • You will have the ability to build strong relationships with Project Managers and the wider business. This is something that comes naturally to you and forms an integral part of your ability to achieve results.
