The City Rail Link (CRL) Project is a game changer for Auckland and is the largest transport infrastructure project ever undertaken in New Zealand.

The CRL is a 3.45km twin tunnel, transforming the dead-end station at Britomart, creating two new stations at Aotea and Karangahape Road and reconnecting to the network at a redeveloped Mt Eden station.

Full Time - Fixed Term

The Link Alliance is a consortium of local and international construction companies responsible for delivering the tunneling, stations and the systems contracts.

These companies include Vinci Construction Grands Project S.A.S, Downer NZ Ltd, Soletanche Bachy International NZ Limited, WSP Opus (NZ) Limited, AECOM New Zealand Limited and Tonkin + Taylor Limited.

The Executive Assistant with a proven ability to work constructively with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.

This role would expose you to all aspects of rail construction and have you building relationships with delivery staff at all levels in the organisation, so you will be effective in using your day-to-day activities to provide wider organisational and administrative support to the General Manager of Construction for the City Rail Link Project.

The focus is on the Executive Assistant to provide organisational and administrative support by managing calendars, emails, correspondence, documentation, reporting, meetings as well as supporting events when required

  • Obtain and compile reporting from each of the Station Managers responsible for the Mt Eden, Karangahape and Aotea construction works.
  • Ensuring reports are on time, and saved in our document management system (Sharepoint and Aconex)
  • Extract data from the reports, calculate defined indicators and prepare dashboards for the General Manager of Construction to provide the Alliance Management Team and Alliance Board.
  • Process permits to work outside hours
  • Support the General Manager of Construction by following up on action plans allocated to his team
  • Develop relationships with counterparts within the home organisations and key stakeholders
  • Actively participate in a one team’ alliance framework across the project
  • General construction administration as requested.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience at Executive Assistant level
  • Ability to work constructively with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail with strong planning & project management skills
  • A clear customer-service orientation and customer friendly approach
  • Proven experience in developing relationships at all levels and with external stakeholders
  • Politically savvy to identify priorities
  • Ability to continuously improve process and ways of working
  • High level of competence in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as purchasing & expenses systems
