About the role

The Mechanical Development & Test Engineer II carries out the various functions of the Mechanical Development & Test Team with a level of expertise in a particular area or areas with the department which allows the role to work unsupervised and able to plan their own workflows through a testing program.

This includes planning, designing, and implementing test programs related to the launch vehicle and sub-systems. The role work closely with the production team, design engineers and analysts, assembly technicians and fitter / turners to achieve high quality products.

Essential skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering)
  • 2+ years’ test engineer experience
  • Knowledge of instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, etc.)
  • Creative, analytical, good at problem solving
  • Clear communication skills
  • Calm under pressure
