Kōrero mō te tūranga About the role
This new leadership position leads a team of 2DHB HSW operational and strategic subject matter experts responsible developing a fit for purpose HSW management system.
The team supports and enhances the quality of professional practice relating to HSW across the 2DHB.
The Manager HSW Strategy, Policy & Operations leads the team to provide effective operational policies and processes, underpinned high quality guidance.
Implementing fit for purpose HSW technology systems, training programmes relating to HSW, models and tools, and contributing to the design of major new areas of HSW practice across the 2DHB are other key components of this role.
Mō tō mātou rōpū About our team
This newly formed team is part of a new Health, Safety & Wellbeing function being implemented across both HVDHB and CCDHB.
The HSW function encompasses occupational health services, a business partner function, strategy, policy & operations and a risk and assurance function.
This role is one of three that supports the Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing 2DHB in developing, delivering and implementing leading HSW practices that are fit for purpose.
Moū About you
You will be tertiary qualified and a HSW SME, with expensive understanding of leading practice relating to HSW management systems and technology.
You will be skilled at leading and influencing a team of SMEs, delivering and providing strategic advice and developing modern HSW systems and processes.
You will have experience at developing and implementing organisational strategies, new legislation and policy initiatives especially in complex operational environments.
You will possess a comprehensive understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and associated Regulations and ideally will have a solid understanding of the NZ health system and the DHB environment.
