As New Zealand's foremost consultancy on climate risk and adaption planning, we are seeking a senior consultant to help our clients understand their climate change and natural hazard risk exposure.

Specific duties for this position include :

  • Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, in the areas of climate risk management, adaptation planning, and infrastructure and community resilience
  • Conduct hazard exposure and vulnerability assessments and develop adaptation strategies
  • Facilitate workshops with external stakeholders and prepare written reports and action plans
  • Perform project management activities in accordance with T+T quality system
  • Assist with business development activities including meeting with prospective clients and partners, creating service and / or product offerings and developing proposals
  • Build enduring relationships with clients and partners
  • Ideally, you will have;
  • Working knowledge of climate science, climate adaptation and / or mitigation strategies
  • Demonstrated track record of project management in a professional services consultancy setting
  • Experience in public policy, planning or analysis projects in the climate or environmental fields
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical ideas in plain written and spoken English
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Other desirable attributes

  • Master's degree or higher in environmental sciences, environmental management, public policy or related fields
  • Working knowledge of best-practice climate-related financial risk disclosures issued by Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures
  • Working knowledge of New Zealand climate adaptation and mitigation legislative environment
  • Experience in emissions inventory and development of mitigation action plans relevant to the New Zealand emissions profile
  • Experience in delivering climate or environmental projects in the agribusiness sector
