Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments.
EIS manages the Crown's second largest property portfolio of around 2,500 schools with a book value of $17.8 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
The EIS Business Systems team works with the Ministry Information Technology Group and other stakeholders to ensure the effective, pragmatic, smart reuse and management of data, information management systems and technology across EIS.
This activity supports efficiencies in BAU and new business activity as well as ensuring business information and systems are performing optimally delivering expected outcomes and are fit for purpose.
About the role
Reporting to the Application Services Manager, this role is responsible for delivering exceptional services to support the effective use, organisation, and provision of second level business support.

You will have a relevant Business or Information Technology-related degree or tertiary qualification and 2-3 years IT Service Desk or relevant support position.
To be successful in this role you will have analytical skills with the ability to assimilate, understand information, and to interpret and apply business rules.
Ideally you will have basic knowledge of Financial systems, IT architectural frameworks and methodologies that may be leveraged to support Business Systems management.
