Job Description
Youll join our Payments vertical and the team that develops a complete range of payments solutions including point-of-sale, ecommerce, mobile, in-app, recurring billing, e-invoicing, and auto-reconciliation.
Our cloud-based solutions allow for seamless, secure processing and help our customers increase revenue, so they become more profitable.
Reporting to our Head of Business Analysis, youll be working with the product team (data and analytics), act as a subject matter expert to help define the product direction, and within the scrum team to help realise the feature set.
Some of the other responsibilities youll have :
Pair with the Product Owner and work on : Break epics / features down into storiesDefine acceptance criteriaIdentify ways to slice large pieces of work into smaller deliverables
Work within sprints with the Scrum Team : Support the scrum team in their daily work and deliveryIdentify issues and work with the team to solve themTest the solutions that the team provides and verify that features work as expected
Be the subject matter expert of the Product : Have a deep understanding and knowledge of the productAnticipate positive and negative impacts of the proposed work on other areas of the organization
Apply analytical skills and industry best practices to understand business problems, present solutions to problems, and be able to articulate the pros and cons of each proposed solution : Eliciting requirementsIdentify system dependencies, impacts and edge casesGathers information that assists decision-makers in making decisionsWrite and maintain product documentationCreate the functional user specification documentation
Manage Stakeholders : Manage stakeholder expectations for delivery of BA tasksElicit requirements from stakeholdersCommunicate clearly to stakeholders and build up solid working relationships
Qualifications
What would make me a good candidate?
3 years or more experience as a Business Analyst
A proven record of working on complex software products
Understand areas of databases and reporting
A strong analytical skillset and deep knowledge of the SDLC process
Able to perform critical thinking in the area of data analysis
Strong prioritisation, time management and organisational skills
Able to assimilate complex information quickly and accurately
A solid understanding of Scrum and can excel in agile environments
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills
Strong documentation skills
Writing user stories and acceptance criteria
Basic experience with SQL
Understanding of interactive data visualization software (e.g. PowerBI)
A solid understanding of project management principals
