About the role

We are looking for a Principal Analyst to provide sector / thematic thought leadership and lead a programme of evaluation and research work in employment or communities, family, and sexual violence areas.

You’ll be a high performing, committed Principal Analyst with a strong drive to influence decision making. Passionate about evidence informing investment.

You thrive on, and can build, meaningful relationships with your teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders across a range of MSD networks to ensure insights get uptake.

You’re a natural leader that mentors others, is adaptive and strategic. You help the sector look ahead, challenge current thinking, anticipate future opportunities, and help teams deliver quality influential work on time - Better Insights, Better Decisions, Better Lives.

What you will bring to role

  • You know how to write for your reader and design knowledge products that engage the user because they’re digestible, tell a story and can be applied in practice
  • Your able help other teams grapple with complexity and apply insights to problems and decisions
  • You have thematic knowledge and experience in employment or communities or sexual and family violence related areas.
  • You are confident designing research or evaluation methods mixed methods, qualitative or quantitative
  • You enjoy breaking down the research process to find ways to deliver value early and along the way.
  • Your analysis moves proficiently from meso to macro and works across the programme and policy Lifecyle.
  • You are proactive and productive, you plan, implement, and adapt your programme of work to deliver value in a changing environment
