About this role

  • Exciting role in the Office of the Director-General (ODG) directorate
  • Provide advice and support to ELT and the Ministry in relation to weekly meetings with Ministers. Responsible for creating agendas, collating papers, and overseeing actions
  • Contribute to the improvement and development of processes, procedures and systems and partner and work with other team members
  • ODG leads, enables and supports public service excellence by providing timely, high-quality advice, communications and service to Ministers, the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the wider Ministry;
  • and by providing organisational leadership and governance support.

    We are looking for an energetic, hard-working person to work in this great directorate, in a role that sits in the Office of the Deputy Director-General (ODDG) team but supports the Ministry in its engagement with Ministers and their offices, particularly in relation to weekly meetings, identifying and resolving issues, and relationship management.

    To be successful, we are looking for someone with relevant experience and knowledge, strong written and oral communication skills, excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to think ahead, use their initiative, meet deadlines, andlift quality.

    We are seeking someone with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster good relationships, who can anticipate and help mitigate, risk and issues.
