Job Description

A rare and exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Supply Chain / VAS Operations Manager to join our Global Forwarding team based in Auckland.

The primary function of the role is to manage the operations and develop the 3PL and CFS distribution centre, achieving key service levels around picking and dispatch as well as on time deliveries to our customers whilst ensuring efficiency and that costs are controlled within the agreed budgets.

As the Supply Chain / VAS Operations Manager, you will :

Lead, mentor and develop a team on a day to day basis

HSE Lead responsibility for reporting, implementation and monitoring of all policies & compliance with our Toll Safety Obsessed Programme

Facility Management of Westney Road, maintenance, suppliers, contractors

Assist in the management of our clients’ interests in all aspects of quotation, processing; inventory control, inbound scheduling, receiving, order processing, packing, value added services and dispatch

Solution Design engage with Key Customer / internal stakeholders to design / implement strategic solutions across the Toll Network & service offerings

Develop appropriate reporting and KPIs to support and measure achievement of VAS / CFS targets

Assist in the management of VAS budgets and forecasts and accountability for VAS / CFS Profit & Loss by branch and by client.

Ensure that new workers are inducted, and trained in any SOPs, Safe Work Procedures, Traffic Management Plan, and Rules relevant to their role

Drive a continuous improvement program with all 3rd party distribution providers & subcontractors ensuring market leadership

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need :

Sound planning and analytical skills, proficient in solution design and project management

Previous people management experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Continuous improvement mindset

Demonstrate a high regard for safety and continuous improvement

Work well in a team environment

Computer literacy : Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint
