Salary : $87,000 - $130,000
About the role :
We have an incredible opportunity for an accomplished experienced Senior Project Manager to join our CPMO function.
The Project Manager is responsible for delivering and driving fundamental change in partnership with other colleagues. You will be responsible for providing high quality structure, advice and support to project-related personnel by managing the project planning and executing and implementing the project plan.
You will need to establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to influence others and gain buy in to the project deliverables and desired outcomes.
Oranga Tamariki has an ambitious programme of change to manage.
Key Accountabilities :
Develop and manage an effective qualitative project support function to maximise strategic goals and outcomes ensuring that implemented project principles, models and methodology are robust and effective.
Bring clarity, definition and structure to the project and its people
Plan and design the project and proactively monitor its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
Have efficient and effective management of the work plan and resources
Support the projects governance groups
Ensure effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the project.
Participate as an active team member and contribute knowledge and expertise needed to achieve Oranga Tamariki’s desired outcomes.
Ensure that project documents are in place
Proven senior / Mid level project management skills and experience
Good knowledge of techniques for planning and delivering projects effectively
Demonstrated ability to see the "big picture" and understand the strategic context of projects
Proven decision-making experience and leadership
Proven experience in managing a range of outcomes focused business projects
Demonstrated ability to understand financial data and information, cost out all options and support recommendations with quantitative data
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Key requirements :
Minimum of ten years’ professional experience, at least 6 of which as a senior project manager.
Demonstrated people management experience in leading high performing teams in complex environments.
Proven decision-making experience and leadership demonstrated in co-ordinating and integrating projects.
Demonstrated ability to see the "big picture" and understand the strategic context of projects.
Good knowledge of project management methods including MSP and PRINCE2.
Effective leadership, verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
The ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project
