    We currently have an opening for a Programme Manager to join our Enterprise Portfolio Office in either Christchurch or Wellington.

    We are looking for a motivated and experienced person who can lead priority projects incorporating both business change and IT delivery.

    You will work in the Enterprise Portfolio Office, with a great cohort of Project Managers, Business Analysts and Change Managers who are passionate about what they do and happy to support you.

    As the Programme Manager, Enterprise Portfolio Office, you will be responsible for successful delivery of programmes and their outputs.

    This involves day to day management of a programme from completing the set up, to delivery of outputs that will enable the realisation of benefits and programme closure.

    You will ensure an integrated, well-aligned programme management approach that leverages off Stats NZ's internal expertise.

    You will lead the Programme Leadership team, work closely with the Business Manager, and report to the programme's Senior Responsible Owner (SRO).

    Your initial assignment will be to manage and lead the legacy system remediation programme. The project business and digital business services teams are based in Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland.

    Ensuring governance, delivery partners and stakeholders are actively managed will be key. This is a high priority programme delivering outputs which benefits a wider range of stakeholders.

  • Demonstration of mātauranga Māori, fluency in te reo, understanding of tikanga and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a work setting.
  • Understanding of the machinery of government and related processes and procedures
  • Any experience leading data / analytical / statistical production teams, projects or programmes.
  • Any experience in a similar role that included a large component of engagement with internal and external stakeholders / customers.
