Prepare project briefs and fee estimates.
Produce research, feasibility studies, designs, calculations, reports and drawings suitable for review purposes and preparation of contract documentation.
Prepare and implement contract documentation, specifications, schedules and project estimates.
Undertake construction supervision and contract administration to required company and standard procedures.
Provide input / leadership to project teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality.
Ensure projects achieve the planned profit.
Report and manage any hazards arising from or associated with projects or activities undertaken are identified, including self-management where appropriate.
Development of team capabilities in civil design and project delivery including :
oProactively training and mentoring young professionals to help them grow to their full potential, to maximise their enjoyment and ensure successful project outcomes.
oMaintaining knowledge of relevant engineering procedures, engineering design with particular reference to current codes and specifications, software and design tools.
oMaintain knowledge of appropriate technical standards, legislation, codes of practice and New Zealand standards.
Development of contacts with local contractors, developers, architects, other to promote design review services for projects.
Supported by our well-established Auckland team and working on a wide range of multi-disciplinary projects, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and be able to show examples of the successful delivery of their work.
You will likely have had exposure to delivering 3-waters infrastructure project for Local Authorities, together with at least 4 to 7 years of working in a consultancy environment.
Your professional experience may include :
A degree based professional qualification in civil or environmental engineering.
Chartered or in (near) application stage for Chartership with IPENZ or equivalent.
A working knowledge of the NZ Building Act and all relevant civil design codes and practices.
A sound knowledge of hydraulic and hydrological principles.
