The role :

Southern Cross Health Society has an exciting new opportunity foranOracleDeveloper to join a cross-functional, self-sufficient agile squad, providing analysis, design, development, and support expertise for theCustomer Value Stream.

You will be able to work confidently on your own or as part of a larger development team and can demonstrate a minimum of 3 years’ experience asan Oracle Developer.

You will have a strongdevelopment voice and be able to confidently drive good development practices with other team members, also contributing ideas,initiatives,and process improvements where the opportunity presents.

You will design, build, deploy and maintain solutions to solve problems according to best practice development methodologies, structured programming, and architectural principles.

Build and configure custom applications and integration with other Southern Cross platforms, based on business requirements, quality expectations and security principles

You can confidently talk to your :

Deep understanding of Agile, Lean and DevOps development practices and principles

Prove ability to analyse, estimate, plan, communicate, execute, remediate and report throughout an initiative

Ability to analyse a story and acceptance criteria and describe how to deal with ambiguity

Ability to work in a team oriented / collaborative environment

Experience in the following technologies :

Oracle database development with PL / SQL

Git version control

Integration with JSON and XML

Web service development and architecture (SOAP / REST)

Personally you :

Are self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills

Show that you have the ability to pivot, learn and be open to new ideas

Have a strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision

Are capable of reasoning and thinking through problems, then can independently and jointly develop solutions

Can clearly communicate and are happy to share all solutions with fellow team members

Committed team player with a positive attitude
