  • About the role

    Our Health and Safety team is growing as Metlifecare expands and concentrates on the health and wellbeing of our staff and residents.

    We are now on the lookout for an H&S Coordinator to join us in this team. You will be supporting the team in their activities as they push to achieve a safe working environment for staff, residents, visitors, and contractors.

    This is a varied role where you will be able to develop and drive change making a valued impact!

    Some of the things you will be doing daily include :

  • Monitor and liaise with Villages to ensure that Health & Safety compliance is met. This includes conducting regular site visits and audits of Villages.
  • Generally ensuring all Metlifecare staff work towards achieving a safe working environment that exceeds expectation.
  • Reporting to the business regularly on identified risks and the management of those risks.
  • Conduct investigations alongside your Health & Safety Team colleagues to identify root cause, put in place corrective actions, and report lessons learned of any serious harm incidents, or significant trends of events placing workers at risk.
  • Manage the ACC and AEP programme and support injured staff with rehabilitation and a safe return to work process
  • Improving existing and forging new risk processes.
  • Be a Champion for Health & Safety and the reduction of injuries at Metlifecare.
  • Systems Administrator for HSMS (currently Risk Manager) and WhosOnLocation
  • About you

    You will live and breathe Health and Safety and be a confident, strong communicator adapting your communication to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

    Your application will be supported by your :

  • Proven experience in Health and Safety, Risk Management and or compliance role in a large Corporate or Government agency
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience completing compliance audits to test the robustness of risk policies and systems
  • Ability to conduct investigations, processes, and reporting
  • Proven whizz using different technologies and systems. This will also include having the ability to identify opportunities to automate and simplify processes.
