    The Monitoring and Oversight (Supervision) team engages with banks, insurers, fund managers, derivatives issuers, and supervisors.

    The team also collaborates with the Reserve Bank, the Commerce Commission, and other government and industry bodies.

    We're at the forefront of industry developments and issues, and our agile approach to market supervision means no two days are ever the same.

    We're looking for a dynamic, energetic Senior Adviser to join our Auckland-based team. In this role you'll lead monitoring reviews, thematic reviews as well as championing licence application assessments and assessing instances of misconduct by firms.

    You'll put your coaching skills to good use when you're coaching and mentoring our advisers and your background in either financial services or a regulatory environment will make you a trusted source of knowledge and advice.

    Key to your success will be your :

  • Proven leadership abilities and demonstrated capability in leading projects or key initiatives.
  • Agility and resilience, enthusiasm and ability to maintain momentum with a strategic focus.
  • Background in financial services or regulatory environment, from either a banking, insurance, compliance, funds management, legal, accounting or an investigative environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A working knowledge of the various financial markets legislation would be helpful (but not essential).
