We have an energetic team of midwife managers and medical staff, as well as a supportive team of midwifery leaders who help your transition to a new place of work.
This is a place that you can start consolidating your midwifery education with a planned, sustainable level of support behind you our educators, mentor midwives, midwife managers and midwifery leaders are all ready to help and encourage you as much as we can.
We have a great MFYP programme in place to make the transition from competent newly registered midwife to confident midwife as easy as possible.
You will rotate around all areas of the service (delivery suite and our ante and post-natal inpatients) gaining skills in caring for women with complexities in this amazing tertiary unit we have.
There is dedicated education days provided just for new graduates and support on the floor from the many skilled midwives we have that will mentor you in each area.

We have superb restaurants and plenty of walking and cycling tracks. We are close to Raglan (45 minutes) for brilliant surfing, cafés and chilling, and not too much further to the Coromandel coast with pristine waters and golden sand beaches.
