  • About the Role

    Our Digital Services team has a diverse range of skills and plays a key role in ensuring that all of our services some of which are literally life savers are supported and maintained to keep our healthcare system running.

  • Along with that support, we also need to innovate and improve services to ensure that we continue to deliver the best possible care for our region;
  • and that’s where the Solution Team comes in.

    Reporting into our Solutions Team Leader, the focus of this 2-year fixed term role is the implementation of our new South Island Patient Information Patient Care System affectionately known as SI PICS.

    This system has been successfully implemented in other South Island DHBs and now it is our turn to get on board!

    As Developer you will have the opportunity to :

  • Get involved in development of new and existing systems
  • Assist with data migration work as required
  • Provide technical expertise to other digital teams as required
  • Work alongside a variety of stakeholders throughout the organisation
  • About You

    Working closely with the wider SI PICS team, this is a great role for someone who loves both the technical nitty-gritty and being involved in a range of tasks in a supportive and autonomous environment.

    Our team works hard but has fun along the way and there are opportunities for those who are up for the challenge at this busy time for the organisation!

    Our ideal candidate will bring experience in :

  • Net (C#, ASP.Net)
  • Database development (SQL, Oracle)
  • Experience developing and maintaining a variety of applications
  • Integration / API development experience, in particular experience using health integration engines and standards (e.g.
  • Rhapsody and HL7 / FHIR)

  • Knowledge and understanding of data migration best practices.
