What you’ll be doing

We are seeking a Senior Technical Asset Manager to join our Engineering Solutions Team in Christchurch, with the option of being based in another main center location available by agreement.

In this leadership role, you will be tasked with providing industry leading asset management, contributing to the successful maintenance operations in the regional business and with our external clients.

Key role accountabilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Support and champion the use of Juno tools and processes across SH and Local Authority contracts
  • Undertake asset condition, renewal and maintenance modelling
  • Develop strategies and provide advice to tender teams on maintenance quantity and renewals
  • Provide technical training, advice and ongoing mentoring to regionally-based asset management teams including FWP drive over, NPV and treatment justification support
  • Lead the continual development and implementation of the Automated Road Intelligence (ARI) suite of products across Fulton Hogan and into client organisations
  • Provide technical support to the SCRIM exceptions analysis and other data (HSD) analysis process in NOCs
  • Provide input to Maintenance Management Plans and facilitate the implementation of best practice asset management across maintenance contracts
  • Facilitate internal workshops and seminars, ensuring positive outcomes achieved
  • Initiate and contribute to research projects
  • Participate in relevant industry forums including conference attendance and presentations
  • What we need from you

    You will have a good track record of building lasting internal and external business relationships coupled with strong industry knowledge.

  • Ideal attributes and skills are as follows;
  • Engineering Degree or Relevant Technical Qualifications
  • Proficient in Juno suite of tools including modelling
  • Competent user of databases and advanced data analytic skills
  • Ability to succinctly explain complex methods in a non-technical way
  • Experience and understanding of both strategic and operational asset management principles
  • Project management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Proven high level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach
  • Drives collaboration to seek the best outcome
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • At least 10 years’ experience within a road engineering environment
  • Comfortable with travel being required as part of this role
