Senior Test Analyst

The Senior Test Analyst role is the ideal opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic test practitioner to join NZQA at a time of transformational change.

Your role will be to carry out functional testing and help to define the testing framework.

This is also a leadership role where you will coach and mentor testers in all facets of the role.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of testing experience in similar role with 2 years of leading / directing / mentoring test resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to interact with personnel in multiple business roles. Exposure to working in a DevOps team.
  • Proven ability to create and lead test teams with a focus on quality, cost and efficiency.

  • Experience creating test plans, test scenarios / test cases using test management tools and good experience in progress tracking.
  • Strong written, descriptive and oral communication skills and good stakeholder management
  • Experience leading test resources
  • Continuously develop and implement innovative systems with the best technologies.
  • Automation Testing Tools such as Selenium, Cucumber and Concordion (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of CI / CD toolset concepts like Jenkins (desirable)
  • NZQA is accountable for managing the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, administering the secondary school assessment system, independent quality assurance of non-university education providers, qualifications recognition and standard setting for some specified unit standards.
