Associate Mechanical, Building Services Christchurch Our Building Services Team Our New Zealand Building Services team is made up of more than 200 mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, systems and fire engineers who are aware that innovation and entrepreneurship will be critical to the future of Beca.

We work closely with our clients to provide sustainable solutions to support their organisational objectives and changing business environments.

The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Christchurch Building Services team.

Our team work across New Zealand on a range of projects for our clients, contractors and vendors. This role is full of variety including leading packages of work, detailed design, client relationship management, mentoring and coaching others.

  • About You With considerable consulting experience as a mechanical engineering professional and thought leader, you will be ready for your next career move.

  • You will be a tertiary qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience designing HVAC and Plumbing systems.
  • A natural leader, you have a desire to manage projects and mentor developing members of the team.
  • Expertise and confidence in a consulting and client-facing role.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo to lead the team to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Excellent communications skills and someone who thrives working in a team environment.
  • A proactive and positive problem-solving approach.
