6 month fixed-term contract

Family Works Northern provides a range of strength-based child and family services, programmes and community development initiatives located in 10 community-based centres and numerous schools in the Upper North Island.

Our South Auckland service is seeking a qualified and experienced social worker to engage with children and their families and work with them towards achieving positive and lasting differences in their lives.

Candidate requirements :

SWRB Registered, or eligible to register

Well versed in strength-based practice principles

Competent working with families affected by multiple issues including domestic violence and child abuse

Ability to engage with families where signs of safety are an issue

Show interest in facilitating a range of needs-based programmes in the community and in prison

Show exemplary professional practice

Thrive in a busy multi-disciplinary team

Outstanding communication and people skills

Excellent assessment abilities
