About the role

Toll are looking for an experience Business Development Manager / Account Manager at our Christchurch Branch. Partnering with a dedicated and passionate team, you will oversee an existing portfolio of customers, developing and strengthening multi-level relationships and ensuring continued growth and share of wallet.

You will also be opening doors to develop and foster new relationships.

You will be committed to exceeding budgeted goals and KPIs. Excellent communication and people skills are required to establish rapport and develop effective relationships.

You will have some experience in an Account Management role within freight and be able to demonstrate examples of working at a strategic level.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Develop close working relationships with existing customers
  • Maximise new business opportunities, both within existing client base and externally
  • Target and develop sales opportunities
  • Maximise revenue, exceed sales targets, minimise costs, monitor market conditions
  • Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years' of Sales experience in the Transport / Logistics industry is required
  • 2 years' experience as an Account Manager
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrate commitment and resilience
  • Excellent communication skills
