    The Kaitiaki, Ranger is a crucial operational role position which forms a close-knit team based in the Motueka. You will be contributing to the meaningful mahi in both back and front-country as you assist the operations team maintain the Kahurangi National Park and Mt Richmond Forest

    The position will be focused

    Back-Country maintenance of Heritage and Visitor facilities. Duties will include : Vegetation Chainsaw Clearing wind Hut, building and structure Front Country campsite amenity and reserve maintenance.

    The Operations Team in the Motueka District is a large team with a mixture of both permanent, fixed term and casual staff.

    The development of the work programme is undertaken by Senior Rangers who are complemented by our supervisors which schedule and organise the teams.

    The District Team is also supported by temporary, seasonal, contractors and volunteers' staff throughout the year, assisting the team to achieve conservation outcomes in the Motueka
