He angitūtanga : The opportunity
You’ll be joining our Albany Pool and Leisure Centre as the Team Leader for Learn to Swim and play a key part in making the experience of those participating in our programme fun, safe and enjoyable.
You’ll be on the pool-side coaching, developing & mentoring team members, and taking the lead on programming and quality lesson delivery.
You’ll also support the day-to-day operational running of the Learn to Swim programme, including swim teaching when needed, and providing great customer service and problem resolution for our visitors.

He kōrero mōu : About you
You’ll have a passion for motivating both your team members and our customers to enjoy and gain confidence in swimming and be committed to making the experience of working in and visiting our pools a great one for everyone involved.
You’ll also hold a recognised swim teacher qualification with at least 4 years’ experience teaching, First Aid certificate and have experience in delivering lessons across a range of ages and abilities.

This is a Full Time Permanent opportunity working 40 hours per week, rostered over 7 days.
The Swim School is a seven day per week operation, therefore flexibility and commitment to working weekdays, weekends and rostered hours is paramount.
