We areseeking applicants who have attended the ACE course or hold at least the HIMAAIntermediate qualification (or equivalent).
Ideally, applicants will havecurrent ICD-10-AM, 8thEdition coding experience - though someconsideration will be shown for trainee coders who show remarkable potential.
Your coding skills will be of a very high standard, as will your communicationand computer skills. Coding for Auckland DHB is challenging and excitingwith no two days the same.

You willrequire a commitment to coding accuracy and integrity and will be required toparticipate in regular coding quality activities and on-
going education to upskill your knowledge.
The clinicalcoding team at Auckland DHB are committed to flexible working and this positionis offered as a permanent full time (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday andthe hours of work are negotiable between 7am to 6pm, depending upon yourexisting commitments.
We also offer experienced and competent coders the option to work from home , whichis a unique opportunity for the DHB environment.
Remunerationwill be in accordance with the Auckland District Health Board competency-basedClinical Coding Structure, which will recognise your skill and expertise.
