    Typing skills are essential although these can be worked on (Winscribe experience would be absolutely perfect). Computer savvi-ness and flexibility with an excellent sense of humour and willingness / strong ability to be part of a small but significant team are also essential.

    The hours of work are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8.30am 12noon, and Tuesday 8am to 12noon. These hours reflect our needs but also our wanting to encourage people who may have carer responsibilities.

    General Information

    MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.

    Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000.

    In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.

    Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures.

    Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
