The Research Support Officer will report to the Chief Medical Officer and will administer and manage MidCentral Health’s research policy.
This includes research across the whole spectrum of health care including in the hospital and community (managed by THINK Hauora).
It is not expected for the Research Support Officer to conduct their own research. However short project based data analysis activities while primarily supporting and facilitating others to do so.
This is a part-time position, 32 hours per week. Shared roles or reduced hours will be considered with suitable applicant / s.

MidCentral District Health Board employs more than 2500 staff at Manawatu, Palmerston North, Tararua and Horowhenua and Otaki districts.
Palmerston North Hospital is a 350 bed secondary hospital, which services an urban population of 80,000 and a total population catchment of 168,000.
In addition, the hospital is a teaching hospital, and is associated with both Auckland and Otago medical schools.
Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields, and river adventures.
Wellington the capital city, is only a two hour journey by road, as are the wine growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
